Une Legal Office

Legal Services is committed to providing the University with high-quality legal advice and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. Legal Services advice and services include: If a student is requesting accommodation because of a disability and has not yet contacted the Student Access Centre Coordinator, refer them to our office. The Coordinator can be contacted at the Biddeford campus at (207) 283-0171 ext. 2815 or at the Portland campus at (207) 797-7261 ext. 4418. The SEN is committed to addressing and reducing cases of discrimination based on sex or gender, sexual harassment and sexual violence in accordance with Title IX. Higher education institutions have a legal and moral obligation to promote a non-discriminatory campus environment. To achieve this goal, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), the administrative agency of the U.S. Department of Education responsible for enforcing Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, has issued guidelines to help colleges and universities combat and prevent discrimination based on sex.

To learn more about the policies and resources of Title IX of the NES, please visit the SEN Title IX website. When you submit the final agreement for execution via the legal Services-E-Mail-legal@une.edu.au, you must also complete a Legal Approval Form (RLA). Agreements submitted through the Contract Management System (CMS) do not require a RCT. Confirmation of acceptance of the anatomical gift is made at the time of the anatomical donor`s death by the legal parent or executor. Acceptance of an anatomical dose depends on the needs of the university at the time of the donor`s death. As a result, anatomical donors are required to make alternative arrangements in case the SEN is unable to accept the anatomical donation. To comply with our own legal obligations, such as health and safety laws, or to assist with an investigation (for example, by the police). NES Legal Services lawyers must remain independent of the various business units, the Board of Directors and the UNE management team to ensure that the legal advice they provide is sufficiently objective and impartial and to fulfill their professional obligations as lawyers. By completing the anatomical donor forms before death, anyone over the age of 18 can donate their body.

The program is open only to residents of the State of Maine. The Anatomical Donor Program cannot accept individuals who reside outside of Maine. The form must be signed as a witness by two people (persons 18 years of age or older and preferably next of kin or executors). These brochures must be made available on the same day of distribution to non-disabled students, provided that the disabled student has submitted the application in good time. We may rely on one or more legal bases to process your personal data. We have defined in Appendix A the purposes for which we may process your personal data. b) Where we can rely on consent The RCT must be completed by the person with operational responsibility for the agreement and signed by that person and the principal, principal or equivalent.
