Last week, Georgia`s university system waived its SAT and ACT test result requirements for admission to its 26 sites in spring, summer, and fall 2021 due to uncertainty about SAT/ACT test scheduling during the COVID-19 pandemic. UGA charges a flat rate for students. This means that no matter how many hours you take per semester, you will be charged the same amount if you are enrolled in 1-6 hours, and the same amount if you are enrolled in 7 hours or more. This amount does not change if you add or omit courses, unless you exceed the threshold of 6-7 hours. However, since the HOPE scholarship pays per credit hour, the amount of HOPE you can receive when you change your schedule changes. If you drop out of classes, you may owe money for tuition after your HOPE amount has changed.
